DENS works closely with Dacorum Borough Council and other agencies to ensure those sleeping rough can access services during the severe weather and those who want to come indoors have the option to do so.

The Elms hostel is fully operational with bed spaces available in the emergency CrashPad and the new CrashPods. Anyone accessing these facilities will be provided a safe place to sleep, a hot meal, breakfast and an opportunity to access longer term accommodation. DENS do not charge clients to access their emergency bed spaces.

The DENS Day Centre in Queensway is open during the day for a welcoming and warm place to go, hot food, shower and warm clothes.

If you are concerned about a rough sleeper in town, please call DENS during the day on 01442 800131 or 275800 or call Dacorum Borough Council Out of Hours number on 0800 018 6050.
