Northchurch Community Pantry - NOW OPEN

The Northchurch Community Pantry is now open. This is a joint community project on behalf of St Mary’s Parish Church & Northchurch Baptist Church. You can access the Community Pantry in both St Mary’s Parish Church & Northchurch Baptist Church. There is also a donation box where tins, dry goods and children’s books can be left. Guidance on face coverings in Church

The guidance on face covering and how this relates to churches has been updated and the following is strongly recommended: Should I wear a face covering in a church building? Face coverings are currently mandatory on public transport and will be mandatory in shops and in supermarkets from 24 July 2020. People are also encouraged to wear face coverings in enclosed public spaces where there are people they do not normally meet, such as a place of worship. We strongly advise that face coverings should be worn by all those attending a place of worship, including ministers, worshippers, staff, volunteers, contractors and visitors, where there may be other people present; remembering that they are

The parable of the sower is a familiar text, and fortunately we are given the explanation, so all we need to do is examine our consciences and consider: who are we? Am I like the seed that fell on the path, hearing words of the kingdom yet immediately is snatched away? The fact that we are all here in church at 8am, would suggest nobody present falls into that category. This parable gives us clues about the commitment and perseverance required to be a disciple. Church reopening and Sunday Services

Church closure We would love to welcome you for private prayer during the week but next week only: Monday 6th July - Thursday 9th July, the church will be closed for essential maintenance work. From Monday 13th July the church will be open daily Tuesday to Friday 9:00 -16:00. Socially distanced services There will be a socially distanced single element communion service at 10:00 on Sunday 5 July. Everyone is welcome, but as per the Government guidelines, please do not attend if you have symptoms of COVID-19. As of Sunday 12 July, there will be both an 8am and 10am service on Sunday mornings.
